Dear prospective candidates
for a "brighter smile:"
My story begins a long, long time ago, when my parents
decided to have a fluoride sealant put on my teeth when I was just an
elementary age child. Instead of protecting my teeth against cavities, for
me it had an adverse effect....it stained my teeth and gave my teeth a
yellowish appearance, which I have had to live with my entire life. I have
always been plagued with soft teeth; thus, I have always had cavities.
Without going into detail, suffice it to say that I went to a less than
competent dentist in my younger years, and I paid the price throughout my
life getting cavities filled and having root canals done.
After I got married, I decided it was time to find a competent dentist who
was sympathetic to my teeth problems and who could shed some light on the
choices and alternatives I might have regarding the condition of my teeth.
After some time, I found Dr. Reddy, who will henceforth be referred to as my
"knight in shining armor." Throughout the many years that I have been going
to him, Dr. Reddy has helped me immensely, and I owe my dental history
turnaround entirely to him. I will always have a deep rooted appreciation
for everything Dr. Reddy has done for me.
Because my front teeth have always had cavities, my teeth
were really beginning to show the signs of years and years of fillings.
There were distinct dark areas that were slowly becoming more prominent. At
my bi-annual dental visits, Dr. Reddy would always mention to me what a
difference it would make in my appearance if I would consider capping my
four front teeth. That conversation took place again at the end of last
year, and I went home with a renewed sense of authority that I was worth
whatever the cost, and it was time for me to do something about my "smile"
once and for all. My husband and I talked about it, I secured the finances
to have it done, and I made the call to Dr Reddy's office and told them that
I was ready to start the process.
That first visit was a lengthy one, an afternoon in the dental chair, but I
would do it all over again, knowing what I do now. When I left that day and
thought that the temporary caps looked good, Dr. Reddy assured me that I
would definitely be pleased with the permanent ones. When the day finally
arrived for the permanent caps to be put on, I was very excited. I can't
begin to explain the feelings of anticipation I had.....here I was 43 years
of age, and I felt like I was a teenager going on my first date and not
knowing how the date was going to turn out.
Well, in case you haven't already figured out the outcome of
this story, the result was 100 times better than anything I could have
imagined or any amount of money I could have wagered. I just wish I had done
this years ago, because my new "smile" has given me a brand new outlook on
my appearance.....it has given me a heightened self esteem.....and, most
importantly, it has allowed me the self-confidence to feel like smiling and
showing off those gorgeous teeth. I have gotten so many compliments from my
friends and coworkers, and they can't believe the results either. Everyone
has remarked to me how much they look like my own teeth and what a great job
Dr. Reddy did in matching the caps to my existing teeth.
In summary, I would strongly encourage anyone with any doubts
to put their "smile" in Dr. Reddy's hands and let him work his "magic." You
have nothing to gain but a more positive outlook. Although, there is one
drawback to all of this.....you might have to contain yourself from smiling
TOO much and practicing that broad smile in every mirror you pass.
